March Social

Well it was another howling success and a full house to see two fabulous acts don the Bootscooters stage.

First up was the gorgeous Nancy Ann Lee from Goole, Yorkshire.  Nancy has been to the Bootscooters before, but must admit she's grown in stature and confidence and really puts on a great performance. As last time, Nancy's stage presentation is second to none which matches her voice.  She has a lovely bubbly, confident attitude and really kept the dancers and listeners thoroughly enthraulled, especially the men.!!!!

Her second spot was just as professional as the first, and all you can say about her is what an excellent show she put on for us all.  Anyone who hasn't seen her yet, then try and make the effort, she certainly is very worth seeing.

Taking to the Bootscooter stage next , a very popular favourite, Mr. Line dance himself, Paul Bailey. There just isn't anything I can say about Paul that hasn't been said already and as usual he certainly  didn't dissapoint.  An all round great performer. He soon had the dance floor full and that's the way it stayed throughout his performance.

As usual the hall was packed, but I think we could have sold equally as many tickets again for this brilliant evenings entertainment.  As usual we had another large 'easter' raffle with over 40 prizes and it was nice to see the prizes spread around.

It was nice to see different friendly faces attend this social and hopefuly we'll see them again at the next one, whenever that is, and I know several people travelled some distance, thank you for supporting us.

Supper was soup, roll or crusty bread followed by cheesecake, gateaux or apple pie and cream and plenty to go round. A big thank you as always goes to my band of helpers, Pat and Mavis, they always do us proud.

Also thanks to Brian for selling the raffle tickets and Dave and Pat for helping Bill to tidy up, well actually Bill sat and watched, but many thanks.

Finally thank you to everyone who attended, it is pleasing to see people support local clubs as this is the only way to keep them alive.
