Yet another fabulous night with over 70 people in the room to see these two great acts. First on stage was Lainey West, always looking very professional and smart. Lainey gave us a fantastic first set with lots of favourite line dance songs and kept the floor buzzing.
Next it was the turn of a first timer to our stage, Geoff Hilton. OMG he certainly didn't disappoint. What a great voice, again dressed immaculately and that certainly was the way his first set went. What a thoroughly lovely man Geoff is, such a pleasure to have at our club.
Well the 2nd sets were equally as brilliant as their firsts and to top it all, they did a duet, it was bloody great to say the least, so full of fun and laughter and gelled brilliantly.
As always another huge raffle, which I rattle through at a great pace, and surprisingly only took l5 plus minutes. At the beginning of the night I went over Tina Argyle's Thank You - as I knew Lainey would be singing the song - a very popular lovely dance written by Gary Perkins. think it'll be around for quite a while.
All too soon it was the end of the night, but what a superb night it was. Roll on our next social when we have Paul Bailey, already 75 tickets gone -think he must be popular.
